history

The place Seibersdorf was first mentioned in a document around 1045. In 1544 there was an independent, stately feudal parish with Reisenberg . After the destruction by the Turks in 1683, the renovation was initiated in 1688 by Count Julius Friedrich von Bucellini . The church and the tower were raised and the nave vaulted. In 1783 the parish became independent.

architecture

The church is a Gothic building with an imagined west tower, which was expanded and changed in the Baroque. The Gothic nave has a 5/8 choir , the original Gothic pointed arch windows are now walled up. The northern sacristy comes from the first phase of construction, the southern sacristy is two-storey with an oratory from the second half of the 18th century. The church tower, which is essentially Gothic, was raised in the Baroque and has a pyramid spire.

The interior is a two-bay long house with a needle cap barrel on a sturdy cornice. To the west is the 17th century organ gallery .

Furnishing and equipment

The high altar dates from the first half of the 18th century. The high altar picture shows St. Leonhard. The statues on the side are Markus and St. Leopold . The side altars show a Vespers group with angels on the left and Sebastian between Johannes and Leonhard on the right .

The church was renovated several times, most recently in 1995 outside and in 1991 inside.
