history

The church is mentioned for the first time in 1150. The nave, which is essentially Gothic , was not vaulted until 1641. From 1644 to 1646 the chapel, vestibule and sacristy were added to the two long sides of the church. The southern gallery was built in 1676, the northern one in 1688.

architecture

Church exterior

The core of the west tower is Gothic . It was raised in 1674 and fitted with an onion helmet and lantern . Four doors, especially the locks, have rich fittings. They date from the 1680s.

Church interior

The single-nave nave is now three-bay and barrel-vaulted with stitch caps . The one-bay choir is the same width as the nave and ends in the 3/8 end. In the vault there are ribbon and latticework structures by Michael Vierthaler from 1732. The northern chapel, the so-called Herz Jesu chapel, and the sacristy are vaulted with a needle cap. The south porch is cross-vaulted . The portal dates from 1683. It comes from Wolf Weissenkirchner from Salzburg . The four-bay galleries are barrel-vaulted with small stitch caps. The vaults have stucco moldings and fields from the construction period.

Furnishing

The high altar dates from 1773. On it stands a statue of St. Pantaleon in 17th century shapes. The side altars from 1665 are the work of carpenter Sebastian Dusler . The paintings are probably by Tobias Schninagl and were painted over at a later time. The northern gallery altar is a Marian altar from around 1690. The altarpiece was painted in 1693 by Friedrich Degar . The southern altar is consecrated to St. Anthony and dates from 1678. Tobias Schinagl painted the altar leaf in 1675, possibly as early as 1672. Both altars were built by the carpenter Michael Littmann . The altar in the Herz Jesu chapel was created at the end of the 17th century. The top picture shows the resurrection of Christ. The pulpit from 1673 was made by Michael Littmann. The statue "Christ at the hostage column" is a good work from 1742. In the vestibule there is a bust of St. Pantaleon from the first quarter of the 18th century. The choir stalls are from 1670. In the sacristy there are well-carved cupboards by Michael Littmann from 1673. There is a silver bust of St. Pantaleon from 1731. It was created by the goldsmith Johann Andrä Prunnsteiner based on a model by the sculptor Johann Jakob Schnabl . The wrought iron grille in the gym dates from 1698 by J. Schluderpacher .
