The Weichstetten parish church is located in Weichstetten in the municipality of St. Marien in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Lorenz belongs to the deanery Enns-Lorch in the diocese of Linz . The church and the former cemetery are under monument protection .

history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1275. The Gothic church is from 1509. The nave was redesigned in 1735 in Baroque style.

architecture

The slightly retracted three-bay ribbed vaulted choir has a three-eighths closure and shows a remarkable rib structure at the end of the choir. The single-nave two-bay nave with bohemian caps shows stucco frames. The west tower wears an onion helmet.

Furnishing

The decor is neo-Gothic. The figure group Guardian Angels with Child is from the third quarter of the 17th century.
