The Roman Catholic parish church Wettmannstätten is located in the market town of Wettmannstätten in the Deutschlandsberg district in Styria . Until the end of August 2018 , the parish church consecrated to St. Valentin belonged to the then dissolved dean's office in Deutschlandsberg in the diocese of Graz-Seckau ; since this dean's office was closed, it has been located in the pastoral care area of ​​Southwest Styria. The church is a listed building .

history

The previous church was built in 1712. The parish was established in 1921. The new church was built from 1965 to 1967 according to the plans of the architect Max Ehrenberger. The fresco on the facade was created by the painter Franz Weiß (1973).

Furnishing

From the old church the high altar picture with St. Valentin was taken over by Franz Michael Strauss (1718) and restored in 1963.
