Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (English name: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare ) is a video game series Plants vs. Zombies by PopCap Games. The game combines the gameplay principles of the tower defense and third-person shooter genres . It is played by several players simultaneously over the Internet. The game was released on Xbox One and Xbox 360 in the US on February 25, 2014 and in Europe on February 27, 2014. The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions were released on August 21, 2014.

Gameplay

Garden Warfare requires an active online connection to play as well as a paid premium membership of the online services Xbox Live or Playstation Plus on the game consoles . Only with the Playstation 3 is a free connection to the PlayStation Network sufficient. In the game, zombies and plants fight against each other. There are more than ten battlefields to choose from. The goal is to defeat the opposing team. In each battle, two to 24 players can fight each other over the Internet and decide beforehand whether they want to fight as a plant or as a zombie. The game itself sends additional zombies and plants into battle.

Different characters are available to the player, each with their own special abilities, strengths and weaknesses. By collecting points, various things can be purchased in the game to unlock extras.

The game has several different game modes:

  • The first team to win was the first to destroy 50 members of the opponent.
  • Seven bases must be defended against the attacking enemies until the time is up.
  • In the garden gnome bomb game mode, the goal is to destroy three locations of the opposing team.
  • The gardening command mode is played by competing with up to three other players against increasingly powerful AI zombie waves and having to defend a garden as plants. Boss waves send particularly strong opponents, including well-known series representatives such as the disco zombie or the gargantua.
  • The goal of suburbination is to capture all of the bases, because that is how you get points. The first to reach 100 points wins the game.
  • Taco bandits
  • The doormat is recommended for beginners, because the worse you play, the more life points you get on the next try.
