Antoniwka (Ukrainian Антонівка ; Russian Антоновка / Antonowka ) is an urban-type settlement in Ukraine with about 12,000 inhabitants. It is located east of Kherson , the capital of Kherson Oblast .

Antoniwka than urban-type settlement the dniprovskyi district assumes a Stadtrajon of Kherson. The Molodischne (Молодіжне) settlement also belongs to the settlement council .
history
In 1822 the village was called "Schirokoje" (Широкое) for the first time, in 1917 the place was renamed to "Antonowka" (or, in Ukrainian, "Antoniwka"). In 1963 it was finally given urban-type settlement status. In 1944 the place got a train station on the Kherson – Kerch railway line , in 1954 the Antoniwka railway bridge was opened east of the place , in 1985 the Antoniwka road bridge followed .
