Kalyniwske ( Ukrainian Калинівське ; Russian Калиновское Kalinovskoye ) is an urban-type settlement in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kherson with around 1200 inhabitants (2014).
The settlement is located in Welyka Oleksandriwka district on the bank of the Inhulez a few kilometers from the mouth of the Wyssun . Kalyniwske is located 37 km southwest of the district center Velyka Oleksandrivka and about 75 km north of the oblast capital Kherson . The village was founded in 1807 with the name Welyka Sejdemenucha ( Велика Сейдеменуха ) and was renamed Kalinindorf in 1927 , then in 1944 Kalininske (Ukrainian Калінінське; Russian Калининское) / Kalininskoje. It has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1967, and since March 17, 2016 it has had the current name of Kalyniwske. It is the only place of the settlement council of the same name, the place was between 1927 and 1958 the main place of the Jewish National Raion Kalinindorf (Калініндорфський єврейський район) and from 1944 Kalininske.
