The Fansipan ( Vietnamese Phan Xi Păng or Phan Si Păng ) is a mountain in the Hoàng-Liên-Sơn Mountains . With a height of 3143  m , it is the highest peak in both Vietnam and Indochina . It is therefore also known as the "roof gable of Indochina" ( vietn. Nóc nhà Đông Dương ).

The Fansipan is located in the Lao Cai province in northwest Vietnam, about 10 km from the city of Sa Pa in the Hoàng Liên Sơn National Park .

The ascent of the Fansipan should also be because of the rapidly changing weather with u. Very thick fog can never be tackled without a guide and takes one to three days to complete.

Cable car

Since January 2016, a 6,292 m long 3S cable car has been leading to the top of the mountain, overcoming a height difference of 1,410 m. The cable car ride takes 15 minutes and ends on a high plateau near the summit. 2000 people can be transported in one hour and in each direction.
