Phare de Penfret is the name of a lighthouse off the coast of the municipality of Fouesnant . It is located on a small island in the east of Glénan - archipelago in the Finistere region of Brittany .
The completion and commissioning of the truncated pyramid-shaped, white lighthouse with a red lantern structure took place on October 10, 1837. The beacon, which was automated on April 30, 1993, is controlled from Concarneau. The tower is not occupied and cannot be visited.
