Phil William Daniels (born October 25, 1958 in London ) is a British actor.

life and career

Daniels was born in Islington , London and grew up in Kings Cross . He got his first film role in 1976 in Bugsy Malone . It followed u. a. Appearances in Alan Clarke's film Scum or in the ITV series Raven . In 1979 he played the leading role in Quadrophenia , the film adaptation of The Who concept album of the same name . It is still Daniel's most famous film role today. He was in the late 70s as a musician active and published in 1979 by Peter Hugo Daly as New Wave band The Cross , the LP Phil Daniels + The Cross . He then continued his acting career and played the puck in a Midsummer Night's Dream in 1981 for the BBC program and other roles as a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company . He also appeared in the horror film The Bride , in the musical Billy the Kid and the Green Baize Vampire and in various theater roles. In 1994 he took over the speaking part in the song Parklife by the band Blur and has since performed repeatedly as a guest with the musicians. In 2000 he dubbed the role of Fetcher in the animated film Chicken Run . In 2015 he took on a role in Les Misérables.

Daniels has a daughter. He is a fan of Chelsea and publishes a weekly podcast on the club.
