Philip Michael "Phil" Duprey (born February 6, 1944 in Lake Placid , New York ) is a former American bobsleigh athlete .
Duprey grew up in Saranac Lake and attended high school there ; he was the captain of both football and baseball teams .
As a pusher, Duprey competed in three Olympic Winter Games . In 1968 in Grenoble he finished 10th with the four-man bobsleigh. Four years later in Sapporo he reached 14th place. At the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck , he pushed the four-man bobsleigh again and ended up with the team in 19th place. Duprey's greatest success was the four-man bobsleigh title at the North America Championships in 1967.
After finishing his career, Duprey worked as a farmer in his home country. In the late 1980s he also worked as a consultant for NASCAR driver Geoff Bodine , who was also involved in the development of a better bobsleigh.
