Philip Bender

Philip Bender (* 30th June 1980 in Berlin as Philip Reichenbach ) is a German actor .

Life

Philip Bender was born in the Märkisches Viertel in Berlin, the son of a German and a Sierra-Leonean diamond cutter. His grandmother is the former GDR theater actress Maria Baden (Ursula Bender), who among other things played in the Schauspielhaus Bochum under Saladin Schmitt and learned the trade from Gustaf Gründgens .

Philip Bender began his acting career at the age of five with minor theater roles and continued it during his school days at the Waldorf boarding school at Hamborn Castle. There he received speaking lessons from the seventh grade.

As a film actor, Bender often embodies melancholy and difficult characters. For his performance as Eve Anderson in the internationally acclaimed short film A damn Killer , Bender received the 2010 Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival award for Best Supporting Actor . He also received the People's Choice Award at the Ecu Film Festival in Paris with his production company Framerausch Production, which he runs with friends .

Philip Bender is self-taught and attended the “Theaterwerkstatt Charlottenburg” drama school for six months. Then he had several minor roles in the RTL - TV series Behind Bars .

In 2010 Bender got a guest role in the ZDF series Der Kriminalist , directed by Thomas Jahn .

From 2013 to summer 2014 he played the role of Felix Menzel in the reality soap opera Berlin - Day & Night . After leaving BTN, he took over a snack bar in Berlin. He also began a career as a singer in a hip-hop band.
