Philipp Vollkommer

Philipp Vollkommer (born March 7, 1928 in Memmelsdorf ; † October 24, 2017 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Career

Philipp Vollkommer attended the commercial college and completed an apprenticeship as a textile and grocery merchant with an assistant examination. In 1949 he started as a self-employed retail salesman.

Vollkommer had been a member of the CSU since 1949 and 1950 respectively. From 1968 to 1998 he was chairman of the CSU district association Bamberg-Land. From 1956 to 1972 he was a member of the municipal council in Memmelsdorf, from 1966 to 1972 and from 1990 to 2002 a member of the district council in the Bamberg district . In 1970 he was elected as a representative of the Bamberg-Land constituency in the Bavarian State Parliament, to which he was a member from December 3, 1970 to September 27, 1998.

Vollkommer has served on various committees, from 1974 to 1998 he was a member of the State Budget and Financial Affairs Committee . From 1978 to 1998 he was a member of the Council of Elders and the Presidium of the State Parliament. He was also a member of the Broadcasting Council from 1990 to 1998 .

Honors

Vollkommer is an honorary citizen of Memmelsdorf. He received the Bavarian Order of Merit and the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class. The Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg honored him with its gold medal "bene merenti". He was honorary chairman of the CSU district association Bamberg-Land.
