Philip Gavitt
Philip Richard Gavitt (born January 29, 1950 in Wichita - † May 28, 2020 ) was an American medieval historian .
Life
He earned a BA from the University of Rochester in 1972 and a Ph.D. at the University of Michigan . From 1989 to 1992 he was an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee . He taught from 1993 as a professor of history at Saint Louis University .
