Philip Kucher (born September 29, 1981 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee , Carinthia ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Kucher has been a member of the Austrian National Council since October 2013 .

Life

After attending elementary school and high school in Klagenfurt, Philip Kucher passed his Matura in 2000 . Then he did his community service with the Red Cross . Then Kucher enrolled at the University of Klagenfurt , where he studied business administration and psychology . Since 2011 he has been studying political communication at Danube University Krems .

Kucher gained his first political experience from 2004 to 2007 when he was chairman of the Association of Socialist Students of Austria (VSStÖ) in Klagenfurt. At the same time, from 2005 to 2007, Kucher was Deputy Chairman of the Austrian Students' Union at the University of Klagenfurt.

In June 2007, Kucher took over the management of the Dr. Karl Renner Institute in Carinthia.

Kucher has been a member of the SPÖ Klagenfurt board of directors since 2008. A year later, in 2009, he moved into the municipal council of the Carinthian state capital as a member of the SPÖ .

In 2013 he was elected to the Austrian National Council in Vienna .

Philip Kucher has also been the district manager of the Klagenfurt district office of the Austrian Red Cross Regional Association of Carinthia since November 2015 .
