Philip Henry Richmond (born December 31, 1890 in Nottingham , † 1958 ) was an English football player .

Career

Richmond played in the 1913/14 season for the Belgian first division club Racing Club Bruxelles and came up with six goals in 15 league appearances. In the storm series he played alongside his compatriots, the brothers Charles "Cyrille" Bunyan and Maurice Bunyan , who also secured the title of top scorer, and the Belgian international Adolphe Becquevort . Since Belgium still had amateur status, it can be assumed that he stayed there for professional reasons.

In the spring of 1914 he appeared at the north-west English club FC Bury and first played in a game of the reserve team. A few days later, he made his debut in the Football League Second Division in a 1-1 draw in front of 10,000 spectators in the home game against Leeds City . The internal trio was completely re-formed by the club officials for this game. In addition to Richmond, who was called up as the right half- forward, Jack Lythgoe made another amateur debut in the center-forward position, and Jock Goldie , who was usually used in the runner row, was called up as the left half-forward. The game was Richmond's only appearance in the Football League, other football activities are not known.
