Philip Walter Klein

Philip Walter Klein (born September 1940 ) is an American Romance philologist , Hispanist and professor emeritus.

Live and act

Philip W. Klein is an Associate Professor Emeritus of Hispanic Studies in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Iowa . During his teaching and research activities he dealt intensively with questions of phonology , morphology , syntax , semantics and also with language pedagogy. He began his academic training in 1962 at Grinnell College in Grinnell ( Iowa ), which he graduated with a BA in Spanish , followed by an MA in Linguistics at the University of Washington in 1968 and in 1974 he was promoted to Doctor of Philosophy ( Ph.D. ) from the same University in Seattle .
