Philipp Ellissen

Philipp Ellissen (born February 13, 1802 in Frankfurt am Main ; † March 11, 1883 ibid) was a German businessman and politician .

Ellissen, who was of Jewish faith, lived as a merchant in the Free City of Frankfurt . He was also a member of the Greater Bank Committee of the Frankfurter Bank . He was also politically active and was a member of the legislative body of the Free City of Frankfurt from 1850 to 1858 .
