Philipp Humm (born October 2, 1959 in Saarbrücken ) is a German artist and film director. Humm was a manager until 2015 .

Career

After studying philosophy and business administration , Humm began his professional career at Procter & Gamble in 1982 . In 1985 he obtained an MBA in Lausanne at IMD. In 1986 he took up a position at the management consultancy McKinsey . In 1991 he moved to the Tengelmann Group, where in 1996 he became a member of the Executive Board, the company's highest body. Most recently, Humm reorganized the Discounter Plus at Tengelmann from 1998–1999 as managing director . From 2000 to 2002 Humm was Managing Director of Amazon.de Germany, since 2001 also of Amazon.fr France and Vice President Europe .

In 2002 he founded the gourmondo.de deli shipping company.

From 2005 to 2008, Humm was spokesman for the management and sales director at T-Mobile Germany. Since January 2007, he has also been a member of the Deutsche Telekom divisional board responsible for sales in the T-Home division. Humm was Chief Regional Officer (CRO) and member of the Executive Committee of T-Mobile International from 2008 to 2010. In this role, Humm led the merger of T-Mobile UK with Orange UK . From July 2010, Humm worked at T-Mobile USA, which he headed as CEO from November 2010 .

In 2012, Humm left T-Mobile USA. In October 2013, Humm took over the management of Vodafone's European business . He left Vodafone in 2015.

In 2015 and 2016, Humm completed an art education at the London Fine Arts Studios and the Accademia di Belle Arti (Florence) . In 2017, the journalist and art historian Edward Lucie-Smith published a book about Humm's art, which he called "Pop Expressionism". In 2017 and 2018, Humm shot the feature film The Last Faust as part of a total work of art, which also includes fine art photographs, drawings, a novella and paintings.
