Philipp Joseph Strobel

Philipp Joseph Strobel (* 1705 in Hechingen ; † February 17, 1769 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was Professor of Medicine in Freiburg and rector of the university several times .

He came from Hechingen and studied medicine at the University of Freiburg from 1725 . On May 4, 1735, he entered his faculty as professor of the institutions and in the course of time held all positions of the same.

He was Freiburg city ​​physician and thirteen times rector of the university. In 1736 he also became a quaternarius . After the university was reorganized, he was appointed the first director of the medical faculty and was given the title "Imperial Council"
