Philipp Kröner

Philipp Kröner (born April 25, 1908 in Bischberg , † May 4, 1964 in Erlangen ) was a German Catholic theologian.

Life

After graduating from high school in Bamberg (1929), Kröner studied theology at the Philosophical-Theological University of Bamberg and the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . During his studies he became a member of the student association KDSt.V. Fredericia Bamberg in the CV . After his ordination (1934), Kröner was initially a chaplain in Forchheim . From 1936 he worked in the Diocesan Caritas Association in Bamberg and in 1943 became Diocesan Caritas Director. From 1961 on he was regional caritas director and director of the main agency of the German Caritas Association in Munich. In the same year he was also appointed honorary professor at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg . From January 1, 1962 until his death he was a member of the Bavarian Senate .
