Philipp Rudolph Rüschemeyer (born April 4, 1895 in Osnabrück-Blumenhalle , † October 26, 1972 in Ohrbeck ) was a German doctor and local politician ( Center Party / CDU ).

Life

Philipp Rüschemeyer studied medicine and in 1926 with the work over the blood cell sedimentation rate taking into account the plasma viscosity and their relations with the sedimentation rate for light box treatment at the Humboldt University of Berlin to Dr. med. PhD. He worked as a doctor. Before 1933 he was active as a city ​​councilor in Berlin for the Center Party . He was persecuted by the National Socialists because of his political commitment.

In the summer of 1945, together with the center politicians Bernhard path and Anton Storch as well as Adolf Cillien, on October 18, 1945 he initiated the founding of the CDU for today's state of Lower Saxony without the old administrative districts of Oldenburg and Braunschweig.

Philipp Rüschemeyer succeeded Adolf Cillien from 1960 to 1962 as regional chairman of the CDU Hanover and from 1947 to 1962 district chairman in Osnabrück-Emsland, parliamentary group chairman in the district parliament of the British zone and community representative in Ohrbeck. As chairman of the regional association of the CDU, he was a participant in the 9th CDU federal party conference in Karlsruhe, April 26-29, 1960.

In 1962 Philipp Rüschemeyer was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in Cologne on December 15, 1962 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .
