Philipp Riehm

Philipp Riehm (* 1974 in Münster / Westf.) Is a German sociologist and professor for digital media management at the Macromedia University in Hamburg .

Life

From 1995 Riehm studied sociology, communication science and psychology at the University of Münster . In 2001 he did his doctorate with Hans Jürgen Krysmanski on the subject of "Video-on-Demand in Germany". This was followed by professional positions at the TV channels VOX and SUPER RTL, where he was most recently active in media controlling. In 2009 Riehm received a professorship for cross-media and online management at what is now Macromedia University, where he still teaches today. In 2018/2019 he was an elected member of the university senate.

In addition to the professorship, Riehm works as a coach and appears as a speaker at specialist and customer events, focusing on the topics of self-development, management and digital transformation. He is a systemic organizational consultant (after Fritz B. Simon ).

In 2015 Riehm received an award as "Professor of the Year" (3rd place) from the UNICUM Foundation for particularly practice-oriented teaching.
