Fritz B. Simon

Fritz B. Simon (born October 27, 1948 in Siegen ) is a German psychiatrist , psychoanalyst and family therapist . He is considered a leading exponent of systemic therapy and belongs to the Heidelberg School (founded by Helm Stierlin ). His current focus is on research and teaching on organizational consulting .

Life

Fritz B. Simon studied medicine and sociology and also trained as a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. From 1982 to 1989 he was the senior physician in the department for basic psychoanalytic research and family therapy at Heidelberg University . In 1983 he founded the International Society for Systemic Therapy (IGST). His habilitation in the field of psychosomatics and psychotherapy took place in 1987 at the medical faculty of Heidelberg University.

In 1989 Simon was one of the ten founders of Carl Auer Verlag in Heidelberg . In 1990 he was involved in setting up the Heidelberg Institute for Systemic Research, Therapy and Counseling . From 1999 to 2004, Fritz B. Simon was Professor of Management and Organization at the Witten Institute for Family Businesses in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Witten / Herdecke . Since 2004 he has been associated there as an adjunct professor.

In 2005, 2007 and 2009 Fritz B. Simon was voted one of the "40 leading figures in human resources" by the German magazine Personalmagazin . Heiko Kleve describes him as one of the "most important and innovative systemic therapists and theorists."
