Philipp Schupp ( Anglicized : Phillip Schupp; born August 11, 1911 in Greater Saxony ; † May 10, 1991 in Southbury , Connecticut ) was an American handball player of German origin.

life and career

Philipp Schupp was born as the son of Heinrich Schupp (1880–1913) and Elisabetha. Schumacher (1877–1961) born. He was married to Gertrude geb. Stuss (1912-2004) and had several children.

Around 1928 he belonged to the TVG Großsachsen , a little later he emigrated to the United States and in 1936 was a member of the First German SC from Brooklyn . Schupp was in the 14-man squad of the US national team at the 1936 Olympic field handball tournament , but was the only member of the squad in none of the three games.
