Life

Philipph von Zwackh auf Holzhausen was the son of the curb- Bavarian director of the lottery fund Philipp von Zwackh, Landsasse auf Holzhausen, who was raised to hereditary nobility and knighthood in 1802 or 1809 . His older brother was the royal Bavarian government president of the Rhine district Franz Xaver von Zwackh auf Holzhausen.

Until 1783 Zwackh attended the (today's) Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich . He then completed a law degree. In 1790 he was appointed court advisor, in 1796 advisor to the exchange court, in 1799 as general state directorate and soon afterwards, in the same year, as auditor. In 1808 he was promoted to third director of the royal court of appeal. In 1817 he advanced to the position of second director. In 1823 he was retired due to his health and at the same time was appointed privy councilor to prove the king's satisfaction with his 33 years of service. From that time on, he was preoccupied with patriotic and charitable endeavors.

In 1833 he set up a mass foundation for the salvation of the soul of the dead at the Sendlinger Murder Christmas , which was published in the government gazette with the approval of the king. In 1834 he endowed another foundation for a grave memorial with a burial mound in the cemetery in Untersendling , in memory of the fallen. It was again published in the government gazette with the approval of the king. The foundation, the memorial and the burial mound still exist today (2014).

He died in 1839 at the age of 74. In his will of 1835 he donated a total of 3400 guilders to charitable and patriotic foundations . This was also published in the government gazette with the approval of the king.
