Philippe Houvion

Philippe Houvion (born October 5, 1957 in Briey ) is a former French pole vaulter .

In 1978 he was eighth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Milan and sixth at the European Athletics Championships in Prague . In the following year a seventh place at the European Indoor Championships in Vienna followed, silver at the Universiade and gold at the Mediterranean Games .

At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, he came in fourth.

In 1981 he was sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Grenoble , 1984 at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg and eighth in 1986 at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid .

In 1978 and 1979 he became French champion.
