Gianni Mascolo (born November 3, 1940 in Milan ) is an Italian singer .

As a ten-year-old he sang in the choir of La Scala in Milan until his voice broke . He then came to the Milan Conservatory, where he studied piano . After appearances as a singer in his home region, he received a recording contract with the local label Ariston in 1964 . He was heard at various festivals, including the 1965 Sanremo Festival with the song Di fronte all'amore together with Dusty Springfield . He was invited to the Swiss pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1968 . He won it with the title Guardando il sole and was therefore allowed to compete for Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 1968 in London . He reached number 13 there. In 1969 his last single was released, after which he retired from the music business.
