Simone Drexel (born May 13, 1957 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss singer.

In 1973 she took first place in the talent competition of the youth magazine Bravo . Drexel's entry into the music business was when he was a teenager in 1975 at the Grand Prix Eurovision in Stockholm. With the song Mikado she won 6th place for Switzerland. The single was also a great success in the charts of her home country (number 2), but after a few more singles she decided against a long-term career as a pop singer . After training to be a medical practice assistant , Drexel married a musician, changed her last name to Johnson and became a mother in 1984. A year later she started her work in a transfusion medicine laboratory, where she still works today (as of May 2006).

In recent years she has also resumed her singing career and sang in various blues, rock, bossa and jazz formations. In 2001 she sang her only hit Mikado again at a fan club meeting of the “Eurovision Club Switzerland”. Today she also works as a singing teacher (specializing in breathing techniques) and as the front woman of the Bluesonix singing group.
