Philippe Madrelle, 2011

Philippe Madrelle (born April 21, 1937 in Saint-Seurin-de-Cursac ( Gironde ), † August 27, 2019 in Bordeaux ) was a French politician .

He was chairman of the French Socialist Party from 1968 to 1990. He was President of Gironde from 1988 to 2015, Senator of Gironde from 1976 to 1980 and Mayor of Carbon-Blanc from 1976 to 2015.

The French politician Bernard Madrelle is his brother.
