Philippe Wampfler (born September 22, 1977 in Baden AG ) is a Swiss author , lecturer and teacher for digital education.

Life

Wampfler studied German , mathematics and philosophy at the University of Zurich . He completed his studies with a licentiate thesis on the theory of metaphors by Novalis. Wampfler works as a German teacher at the Enge Cantonal School . He also works as a lecturer at various universities of applied sciences in Switzerland and conducts further education events at schools. Since 2015 he has been teaching German subject didactics at the Institute for Educational Sciences at the University of Zurich.

Wampfler has published several non-fiction books on digital education and social media, participates in public debates on this topic on his blog schuleundsocialmedia.com, in the Swiss daily press and television as well as in specialist magazines, and also speaks at corresponding meetings and conferences. He is the father of three children and lives in Zurich.
