The Phra-Pokklao Bridge ( Thai สะพาน พระ ปกเกล้า ) is a bridge over the Chao Phraya River ( Chao Phraya River ), the districts Phra Nakhon and Thonburi in Bangkok , capital of Thailand combines. It was built as a relief bridge for the Phra Phutthayotfa Bridge .

The bridge consists of three three-lane viaducts , of which only the outer ones are used. The middle viaduct is intended for future mass transportation . The total length of the bridge is 745 meters, the spans of the three arches are 56, 100 and 56 meters. The clear height is 8.9 meters.

Construction work on the Phra Pokklao Bridge began on November 11, 1981, and the official opening took place on December 3, 1984.
