Phrasement is a band from the Cologne area that combines music from the styles of indie rock and Britpop .
The name of the band should refer to their style through the combination of words "Phrase" and "Basement".
history
The band was founded in 2008 by David Zauels (vocals), Jonas Zauels (bass), Oliver Giffels (guitar) and Dominik Dahm (drums). In the summer of 2012 a self-organized club tour through Great Britain took place, including to the cities of Liverpool (Beatles Cavern Club ), London, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Phrasement was signed by RTL / Disney (distributor: Universal Music Group ) and the first single Hello Sunshine was released on September 28, 2012. The album Cumberland Street No. 9 was also published in 2012.
