π Puppis ( Pi Puppis , short π Pup ) is a star with an apparent visual magnitude of 2.7 mag in the constellation Puppis .

It is the brightest star of the open star cluster Collinder 135 , which is sometimes called the π-puppis cluster. He is also the namesake for the Pi Puppids , a meteor shower that has its radian near the position of π Puppis.
