Pia Hollenstein

Pia Hollenstein (born September 13, 1950 in Libingen ) is a Swiss politician ( GPS ) and former national councilor .

Life

Pia Hollenstein grew up on a farm with five brothers, three sisters, parents and grandmother. In 1972 she finished her training as a nurse with an AKP diploma and in 1975 a two-year further training in intensive care and resuscitation. It was formed in 1984/85 to vocational school teacher and has worked since 1985 at the School of Health and Nursing Stephanshorn as vocational school teacher.

From January 1, 1989 to December 31, 1991 she was a councilor for the city of St. Gallen . From November 25, 1991 to June 5, 2006 she was a member of the National Council. From 2005 to 2007 she completed the post-graduate course "Master of Advanced Studies in Applied Ethics" at the Ethics Center of the University of Zurich . From 2009 to 2014 she worked as an education officer in the Appenzell hospital and nursing home and has been retired since autumn 2014.
