Pia Malo (born Pia Malolepski on May 14, 1982 ) is a German pop singer .

Life

Pia Malo is the daughter of the former singer of the group Die Flippers , Olaf Malolepski . She has an older brother. The singer and co-founder of the group Die Schäfer , Uwe Erhardt, is her maternal uncle.

Due to her family environment, she came into contact with the music scene at an early age. In 1992 she sang the song Tell me, where is heaven with the shepherds and had her first television appearances, including in the popular music parade . The accompanying album sold over 60,000 times. Until 2006 she appeared repeatedly as a guest singer with the shepherds.

She was part of the Baden-Württemberg junior dressage squad and took part in the German championships in 2000. After high school she studied four semesters of Law , graduated from training as a financial assistant and graduated in Applied Media Economics. She worked as a freelance event manager and was head of the marketing and event department of a hospital from 2014 to 2017. From 2006 she sang as a choir singer in the studio and supported various cover bands.

In 2012 Malo began her musical solo career. She released her first single, So stark wie die Sehnsucht . She also worked on several of her father's solo albums and sang with him on Wenn der Anker Falls (2012) and Yes, Christmas is already a song today (2013). On his DVD when the anchor falls - the great concert experience (2013) they also sang in duets on several songs .

In July 2015 she released her debut album Leben-Lieben, which reached the top 50 of the German charts. At the beginning of 2017, Malo was on tour with her father Olaf Malolepski on the occasion of his 70th birthday. Her second album Du tust mir gut was released in August 2017 . In December 2018 she became a member of the charity project Schlagerstars für Kinder and recorded the song Auf once again with the group . In March 2019 the harbinger of the new album, Dem Himmel so nah ; In May, the album Großstadthelden followed , which entered the German hit charts at number 15 .
