history

The place Piasken was founded soon after the reintegration of the area into the Kingdom of Prussia in 1773. It was located in the district of Tursnitz in the district of Graudenz in the province of West Prussia and was first mentioned in 1783 with four hearths (dwellings).

There was a school in 1868 and a church was built in 1900.

In 1919 the place came to Poland and was called Piaski .

Church affiliations

Evangelical community

The evangelical parishioners initially belonged to the parish of Graudenz. In 1893 a separate community was formed with the place Rudnick. In 1900 a church was completed. Even after the area passed to Poland in 1919, the parish remained in the Uniate Evangelical Church in Poland.

In 1944 the church was damaged. The community was then dissolved, and many German residents moved to Germany.

Catholic community

The Catholic Christians belonged to the parish in Blandau. After 1945 they were parish off to Turznice (Tursnitz). In 1961 the church was repaired again and has since formed its own parish.
