The Picco Italica is a submarine volcanic rock 5.7 m below sea level off the Borchgrevink coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located about 3.3 km east of Edmonson Point in Wood Bay
Italian scientists named it in 2002 after the RV Italica , which ran into these rocks during hydrographic surveying work in 1996 .
