Picha is the author of several books, such as Picha at Club Med (1971) or Persona non grata (1975). Later, Picha specialized in working on cartoons. In 1975 he worked as an assistant director for the film Tarzoon - Shame of the Jungle , a parody of Tarzan , the character of Edgar Rice Burroughs . The heirs of Burroughs sued the makers, and as a result the film title and the name of the main character Tarzoon were changed before the film could also be shown in the USA and was only released under the title Shame Of The Jungle from 1979 . While the film was a huge success in Picha's native France, it flopped in the US. Picha's next film was The Missing Link , which was shown at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival .

In 1987 Picha's film The Big Bang celebrated its premiere. Because this film was not really successful either, Picha said goodbye to the film industry and concentrated on writing for television, for example for Zoo Olympics (1990–1991), Zoo Cup (1992–1993) and Les Jules, chienne de vie. .. (1995).
