Pierdavide Carone
Pierdavide Carone (born June 30, 1988 in Rome ) is an Italian pop singer and songwriter . He became known to a wide audience through his participation in the ninth season of the casting show Amici di Maria De Filippi , in which he reached third place in early 2010.
Career
Born in Rome, Carone grew up in Palagianello ( Province of Taranto ). He worked as a songwriter early on and so he took part in the casting show Amici in 2009 with his own songs . As part of the show, he also published the diary I sogni fanno rima . Even before the Amici final, Carone wrote the song Per tutte le volte che , with which Valerio Scanu , who graduated from Amici last year, won the 2010 Sanremo Festival . Carone himself reached third place in the casting show. He made his debut with the EP Una canzone pop and reached number one on the Italian charts. His first single Di notte also came in first. At the end of 2010 he followed up with the album Distrattamente , but he could no longer follow up on the previous success.
In 2012 he took part in the Sanremo Festival himself together with Lucio Dalla . The song Nanì reached fifth place in the competition and announced the new album Nanì e altri racconti… which was produced by Dalla (the Cantautore died a few days after participating in the festival). In a special competition within the tenth edition of Amici, Carone competed again in 2012 against other former participants in the casting show. In 2015 he returned with the single Il filo , which was followed in 2016 by Il sole per semper .
