from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pierre Bengtsson (born May 1, 1979 ) is a former Swedish football player . The defensive player played over a hundred games in Swedish professional football.

Career

Bengtsson comes from the youth of Tyresö FF , for whom he made his adult debut in the lower-class league area. At the beginning of 2002 he moved to Assyriska Föreningen . Here he was a regular player straight away and did not miss a game in the first three seasons in the second-rate Superettan . At the end of the 2004 season he rose with the club to the Allsvenskan . Here, however, the team had no chance and was relegated to the bottom of the table with only 14 points. Even in the second division, the team missed relegation, but in 25 games in the third division Division 1 he contributed to the direct promotion. As a result, he moved into the second tier, particularly due to injury. At the end of 2009 the club decided not to extend the contract before signing a new working paper in early 2010. Ultimately, he ended his professional career at the end of 2010 after 163 league games for Assyriska and let his career end with the amateur club BK Saturnus .
