At the age of 12, Bonard took painting lessons from the painter and sculptor Maurice Perrenoud , from whom he learned to express his inner world in pictures. After that he painted regularly, mostly in the evening. His pictures show imaginary cities, villages, palaces and temples, but also landscapes.
