Pierre Esser (born December 4, 1970 in Cologne ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper . Esser has Turkish citizenship and is known there as Cengiz Dülgeroğlu .

Career

Esser's career in the men's field began at SC Viktoria Köln . In 1994 he moved to the second division Fortuna Düsseldorf , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga at the end of the season. Esser was only used twice that season. Until 1996 he stayed as a substitute goalkeeper at Fortuna. Also at the Turkish first division club Galatasaray Istanbul , to which he moved during the 1996/97 season, and at Eintracht Trier (1998 to 2001) he was only a substitute goalkeeper. In Trier, however, cartilage damage to the knee prevented further missions.

He ended his career as a sports disabled and began distance learning. After completing his studies, he went into business for himself and worked as a financial advisor. As a goalkeeper he is still active in the traditional team of 1. FC Köln .
