Pierre Marion

Pierre Marion (born January 24, 1921 in Marseille , † May 17, 2010 in Louviers ) was a French civil servant and intelligence officer . He was an opponent of the Franco-German rapprochement .

Marion graduated from the École polytechnique , then worked in the aviation administration . From 1942 to 1972 he had a seat in the management of Air France . On June 22, 1981, Marion was appointed by François Mitterrand as head of the SDECE . Under his leadership, it was restructured and renamed DGSE . On November 12, 1982 he was replaced by Pierre Lacoste at DGSE . From 1983 to 1986 he was chairman of the Aéroports de Paris .
