Pierres Frittes (Haute-Borne)
The megalithic stone row Pierres Frittes consisting of three menhirs stands east of Brunoy in the northeast of the Essonne department in France .
The row of stones stands on the edges of the Yerres , a tributary of the Seine . About 750 meters to the east is another row of stones, also known as Pierre's Frittes .
The first menhir is called "la Haute-Borne à la Maîtresse". It is about 2.75 m high and has a width between 1.45 and 0.8 m and a thickness of 0.5 m. It fell into the water during a strong flood, but was recovered around 1865 and fastened with a metal hook. The second menhir, "le Gros Caillou", is about 5.0 m from the first on the ground. The third menhir, 4.4 m from the previous one, is 1.75 m high, 1.6 m wide and 0.6 m thick.
The stone row was classified as a monument historique in 1977 .
