Piet van Wijngaarden
Piet van Wijngaarden (born December 19, 1898 in Papendrecht , † November 2, 1950 in Rotterdam ) was a Dutch motorcycle racer .
Career
Piet van Wijngaarden is considered one of the pioneers of Dutch motorcycle racing. Always on the road on machines from the English manufacturer Norton , he has won a total of six titles in the Dutch motorcycle championship in his career . In 1926 he won the 500 cc race of the first edition of the Dutch TT, which is still held today in Assen . In the following year he was able to repeat this success.
