Pietro Colonna
Pietro Colonna (* around 1260 in Rome , † January 7, 1326 in Avignon ) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church , he was a member of the Curia .
Pope Nicholas IV appointed him, the nephew of Cardinal Giacomo Colonna , on May 16, 1288 cardinal with the rank of cardinal deacon of St. Eustachio. Pope Boniface VIII , from the Gaetani family , who opposed the Colonnas , deposed him on May 10, 1297. He was under Pope Benedict IX. rehabilitated on February 2, 1306 and reinstated by Pope Clement V on December 7, 1307. From 1318 to 1326 he was archpriest of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.
