Life
Delugan was the son of a builder, where he worked as a bricklayer and later a site manager. At the age of 21 he went to St. Gallen , initially as a bricklayer and foreman, later he designed his own buildings. During this time he planned and built the Christ Church (St. Gallen) .
In 1893 he moved to Merano, where he built numerous buildings, some as a planner and on his own account.
He was the first to use artificial stone in Merano, and he also built reinforced concrete in the Plankenstein building complex as early as 1906 (see below).
In 1913 Delugan and his son Karl (1884–1929) founded the oHg "Delugan & Sohn"
Pietro Delugan retired from business life in 1920, the company "Delugan and Sons" was continued by his sons Karl and Heinrich (* 1898).
