Pietro Musone
Pietro Musone (born March 13, 1847 in Casapulla ; † 1879 ) was an Italian composer .
As a teenager, Musone learned the basics of counterpoint and harmony in the Municipal Chapel of Caserta. From the age of 18 to 22 he did voluntary military service and got to know numerous cities in Italy as Kapellmeister of the 6th Grenadier Regiment. After the military service he wrote three lyrical operas, each of which had a historical figure as its subject: Luís de Camões , Wallenstein and Carlo di Borgogna . All three premiered at the Teatro Mercadante in Naples (1872, 1873 and 1876).
