Piff and Hercules (original title: Pif et Hercules ) is a French animated series that was produced between 1989 and 1991 . The story is based on the accompanying comics Pif , which appeared in the Yps magazine .

Piff and Herkules are very good friends and go on many adventures together. However, they also often have arguments and fight. Piff embodies a know-it-all, clever dog who tries to act sensibly and usually has a solution for everything. Hercules the cat, on the other hand, is a show-off who often treats Piff condescendingly and is also willing to betray Piff for money.
Production and publication
The series was produced in France between 1989 and 1991. 130 episodes were created. Directed by Bruno Desraisses and the script was written by Raynald Guillot, Claude Prothee and Serge Rosenzweig. Alexandre Desplat composed the music.
The German first broadcast took place on January 5, 1991 on RTLplus in the children's television series Bim Bam Bino . Other broadcasts on German-language television were also on Kabel eins , Kabel eins, Nick Deutschland , Junior and YFE TV . The series was also released on VHS .
